Rainy Days...


My girls love the outdoors... so rainy day can be a bit boring!

We dont get to walk to the bakery to get a treat

or jump on the trampoline

or have running races in the backyard

or go to the park across the road

or ride our bikes on the path

or swim in the clam shell pool

so today was 'A BIT BOOOOORRRRRRIIIINNGGGG!!!!' according to my 3 year old!

I hope it doesnt rain tomorrow!

Walking in Gods will for your life!

The only place that I find I have total peace, (no matter what the circumstances around me are) is when I feel like I'm in the will of God for my life...

But.. what happens if I feel like i've stuffed up? I've missed what He said or I just plained ignored it? When His peace if just.....gone?

Psalms 37:23-24
'The steps of a good man are ordered by the LORD,And He delights in his way. Though he falls, he shall not be utterly cast down; For the LORD upholds him with His hand.


This scripture tells us that He directs our steps, and delights in our path. He wants the best for our lives and through scripture, prayer and the wise people we surround ourselves with, we find that 'best'.

However, we are still human and I love the fact that God knows we are not perfect, we are going to fail, mess up and walk away from His will for our lives at times.

The second part of this verse is where we find that peace again. Because even when we fall (make a mistake, big or small!) He still doesnt give up on us, quite the opposite in fact! 'He upholds us with His hand.'

When I am weak, He is strong!
When I am faithless, He is faithful!
When I have failed, He is success!

So when you find yourself in that position of stress, pain and regret from mistakes you have made, dont give up! Call out to Him and He will answer. He will uphold you in His hand until you have the strength to stand again, and walk once again in His will for your life.

This week.......

This week i'm going to..

...smile more.
....cuddle and kiss my husband and girls more.
..... bless a stranger.
..... pray for my neighbours (her dad has an inoperable brain tumour)
.....make a cubby and not clean it up for days!
.....visit the library to borrow out some books for bella.
....read the bible more.
... visit my grandpa in the nursing home.

and just live to best life i can live!!

Who can comprehend His love?

Eph 3:17-19 'I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, may have power, together with all the saints, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, and to know this love that surpasses knowledge—that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God.'


It's so true isnt it? His love for us is truly incomprehensible! No matter who we are, no matter what we have done, how much we have fallen short, disappointed, stuffed up, He loves us regardless. What an amazing thought!

I pray this for you today.... that no matter where you are at, what you are going through, that you would know that He loves YOU, and want to get to know YOU, intimately. I pray that today YOU would feel His love for you, a love that surpasses all knowledge!

Working with little miracles...resilience and dreams

I have mentioned before I am a paediatric nurse, I work at the Royal Childrens Hospital, only twice a month because i'm primarily a stay at home mum. However as of Friday it will be once a week.....

Thursday arvo I got a call from the Nurse manager with a job offer once a week in Child Advocacy Services (Child protection and foster care etc)until they can fill a fulltime role. They were desperate for staff and I just couldnt say no. It's such a huge need area, so many beautiful, innocent children with such sad stories.

So I started on friday, and spent the morning playing with the kids, talking about their lives, hopes and dreams while their parents or foster carers were interviewed by the medical staff.

Alot of the children have behaviour problems, trust problems, social interaction problems and self esteem issues just to name a few and when you hear their stories, what they have seen and been through in their short lives it's totally understandable.

The Child Advocacy Service aims to put these children in stable, loving homes, to treat their wounds, physical and emotional, and to help them move on to become successful in whatever they choose to do and be. It truly amazes me how resilient these children are, they still dream big! They just need someone to tell them that they can achieve it!

It is such an honour to spend just a little time with each child, encouraging them, praising what they do right, teaching them to play, reading to them, smiling at them and just generally loving them. It is something that unfortunately they have missed out on.

Im looking forward to the difference I can make next Friday

Aaron's 30th Superhero Birthday!!!




Happy 30Th Birthday Aaron!!!

My amazing husband turned 30 on the 1st of April, and so I threw him a party! Just family and some close friends but it was sooooo much fun!!! I themed it 'Superheros' because Aaron is my superhero :) He is an amazing husband, daddy and most importantly he is my best friend! I love doing life with Aaron! He is fun, exciting, challenging, inspiring, loving, compassionate, good looking, generous, bighearted, caring and smart... I could go on all night!

As you may have already guessed I love my husband alot and I'm proud to do life by his side.

We went to the party as the incredibles family!
